JOB PURPOSE:

•The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair the air quality systems.

•will assist with repairing and calibrating systems, and replacing various components such as transformers, thermostats, and compressors. As well as diagnosing problems and offering alternative solutions.

•You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. The ability to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

•The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition covering the Depot Workshop in Cairo Metro Line 3 (Abasia Workshop and Salam Workshop) and the stations.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

•Assist the HVAC & FF supervisors in carrying out all levels of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications on Depot Workshop in Cairo Metro Line 3 (Abasia Workshop and Salam Workshop) and the stations.

•Ensure the maintenance tools & equipment are in good condition.

•Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.

•Learning, adjusting, and repairing HVAC systems, and performing warranty services.

•Close supervision and leadership of subcontractors to ensure that they are following the PM plan without failures.

•Troubleshooting defective HVAC systems and equipment to make diagnoses.

•Performing preventative maintenance by cleaning reheat coils and air handling units and monitoring and calibrating air handling units, chilled water units, fan coils, split AC, and different types of fans.

•Improving air quality by cleaning ducts to optimize efficiency.

•Fixing, replacing and adjusting vents, and ductwork.

•Ensuring condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly.

•Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

•Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions.

•Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Health and Safety Act.

•Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed to ensure all environmental and safety rules are respected and alert Executive Maintenance of any environmental and safety issue.

•To undertake any other duties as assigned.

•Ability to work after hours when required.
