Mission

JOB PURPOSE: 

Supervise and monitor the maintenance activities on timely and safely manners to sustain assets availability in line with the approved standardized maintenance regulations and SOPs, and to monitor the maintenance contractors' performance.

Profile

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES 

• Oversee and implement maintenance plans, ensuring all documentation and procedures are aligned with established maintenance systems.

• Monitor daily maintenance activities in the field for assigned sub-systems to ensure effective execution.

• Evaluate and maintain the condition of assets within the assigned sub-systems.

• Assist the line manager in tracking, calculating, and reporting key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs).

• Enhance system availability and collaborate with the operational team to maintain system safety.

• Analyze and assess failure modes, frequencies, and consequences, focusing on operational impact. 

• Supervise maintenance activities both on-site and remotely, and perform additional assigned duties as required.

• Evaluate and manage the performance of maintenance contractors through regular audits conducted on-site and remotely.

• Track and document maintenance activities to identify and implement process improvements.

• Ensure timely and effective maintenance of assets to extend their lifespan and maximize availability.

• Ensure the change management procedure and the obsolescence management.

• Oversee and follow up on project snag lists.

Telecom Maintenance Monitoring Engineer:

o General technical knowledge with an emphasis on telecommunications systems.

o Knowledge of telecom network architecture, including the components and subsystems (e.g., base stations, transmission equipment, etc.).

o Understanding of telecom protocols, including network protocols, signaling, and telecommunications standards (e.g., 4G/5G, VoIP, IP/MPLS, etc.).

o Familiarity with telecommunications KPIs (e.g., call drop rates, network uptime, etc.) and analysis methods.

o Experience with telecom monitoring systems (e.g., network management software, monitoring tools, etc.).

Electromechanical Maintenance Monitoring Engineer:

o General technical knowledge with an emphasis on electromechanical systems, including HVAC, elevators/escalators, and water supply/drainage.

o Knowledge of AC systems, including cooling, ventilation, and associated subsystems.

o Familiarity with escalator and elevator systems, including operation, safety features, and performance monitoring.

o Understanding of water supply and drainage systems, including pumps, pipelines, valves, and pressure systems.

o Familiarity with electromechanical maintenance KPIs and analysis methods specific to AC systems, elevators/escalators, and water supply/drainage.

o Experience with maintenance monitoring systems (e.g., HVAC control systems, elevator/escalator monitoring, water/drainage monitoring, etc.).

Signaling Maintenance Monitoring Engineer:

o General technical knowledge with an emphasis on railway signaling systems

o Understanding of signaling networks including the integration of signaling equipment with other railway systems (axel counter, points, signals, etc.).

o Knowledge of signaling protocols, including ETCS (European Train Control System), CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control)

o Familiarity with control systems, signal processing, and network communication for signaling systems.

o Familiarity with signaling maintenance KPIs and analysis methods.

o Familiarity with system-level integration of signaling and communication technologies for ensuring safe and effective train operations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE:

• General technical knowledge.

• Lean Manufacturing knowledge

• MMIS knowledge is a must.

• Asset management understanding.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office & Presentations skills

• Knowledge of maintenance KPIs and Analysis methods (Pareto, etc.)

• Problems solving techniques

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 to 5 years of experience

• AFC Experience (Automatic Fare Collection) system maintenance

• Strong understanding of AFC systems, including hardware, software, and network components.

• Familiarity with electrical and electronic components used in AFC systems (e.g., ticketing machines, validators, controllers).

or 

• Professional experience in power supply maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and maintenance practices.

• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools

• Experience in power generation & transmission, power substation, industrial power systems
