Mission

JOB PURPOSE: 

Manage stock by receiving, issuing, and controlling, the stock to the maintenance Department as requested.

Profile

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES 

Receive materials from vendors in alignment with purchase orders issued by the Purchasing Department.

Check the received materials as visual inspection for quality, quantity, specific condition, inclusion of Certificates of Conformity and Testing certificates, etc. (if applicable).

Develop and maintain and understanding of key materials descriptions and functions to support Operations and Maintenance with goods in acceptance of materials.

Organize and store materials by category, ensuring proper placement in designated warehouse locations.

Take appropriate action for care and preservation of the materials.

Conduct periodic stock verifications to always ensure correctness of stock.

Ensure that stocks are picked based on FIFO (First In, First Out) principle wherever possible.

Take the necessary actions for disposal of scraps materials as per the procedure.

Handle the logistics of vehicles.

Support in monitoring the transportation company and refueling operations.

Transport and distribute furniture from workshops to stations as required.

Follow safety and security procedures to protect materials and equipment.

Assist in loading and unloading shipments, ensuring timely delivery.

Prepare internal material requests, collect, and pack and ensure accuracy before delivery.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school Diploma - bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.

• Materials handling training and appropriate Health & Safety training.

KNOWLEDGE:

• English - Intermediate in speaking, reading.

• Inventory and stock management expert.

• Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.

• Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.

• Forklift driving capabilities and necessary competency certificates.

EXPERIENCE:

• From 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in warehouse & inventory management.
