Mission
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and oversee the strategic implementation and continuous optimization of the asset management system (IBM Maximo), ensuring accurate asset data, effective maintenance strategies, and integration with key enterprise functions. The role is responsible for developing asset hierarchies, managing lifecycle strategies, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO 55000. Through data-driven decision-making, system enhancements, and stakeholder engagement, the Head of Asset Management ensures the reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of assets across the organization.
Profile
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Asset Management Strategy & Leadership
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of IBM Maximo, including planning, system configuration, testing, data migration, user acceptance testing, and go-live support.
• Define and manage asset hierarchies, classifications, attributes, and lifecycle strategies within the Maximo system.
• Ensure alignment of asset management objectives with broader corporate goals by working collaboratively with engineering, IT, operations, and finance teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of asset management practices and tools to meet evolving business needs and user expectations.
System Integration & Optimization
• Oversee the seamless integration of Maximo with enterprise systems such as procurement, finance, and SCADA, ensuring efficient data exchange and process alignment.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Maximo workflows, automated alerts, and escalation procedures to streamline asset-related processes.
• Conduct impact assessments for requested Maximo customizations and lead user acceptance testing to validate changes before deployment.
Data Governance & Reporting
• Manage the collection, cleansing, validation, and ongoing maintenance of asset data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
• Monitor and report on KPIs related to asset performance, availability, lifecycle costs, and maintenance history.
• Analyze trends in asset performance and maintenance data to support planning for preventive actions, capital replacement, and risk mitigation strategies.
Maintenance Strategy Development
• Design and implement preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance strategies using Maximo’s PM module to enhance asset reliability and optimize lifecycle cost.
Training, Support & Compliance
• Provide comprehensive training, documentation, and ongoing support to Maximo users, ensuring effective system adoption and usage.
• Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and user support related to Maximo functionality and reporting.
• Ensure asset management processes and system usage comply with ISO 55000 standards and other applicable frameworks.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Familiarity with ISO 55000, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and lifecycle asset planning.
• Experience in data governance, asset hierarchy design, and CMMS best practices.
• Certification in Maximo or asset management (e.g., IAM Certificate, Maximo Certified Professional) is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• From 7 to 10 years of experience in asset management, maintenance systems, or reliability engineering.
• Proven experience implementing and managing IBM Maximo in large-scale industrial or infrastructure environments.
