Mission

JOB PURPOSE: 

To support the industrialization, optimization, and quality assurance of Rolling Stock maintenance processes by implementing standardized methodologies, analyzing operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role contributes to maintenance planning, process control, quality compliance, and improvement of reliability while ensuring adherence to operational, safety, and industrial standards.

Profile

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES 

Process Design & Industrialization

Support the industrialization of maintenance activities through the development and implementation of standardized workflows, procedures, and standard times.

Perform process mapping, time studies, workload analysis, capacity planning, and resource optimization activities.

Support the readiness of industrial requirements, including documentation, tooling, materials, equipment, and training needs.

Analyze operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste reduction opportunities.

Apply statistical and industrial engineering techniques to improve operational performance and maintenance efficiency.

Support implementation of process optimization and operational excellence initiatives.

Maintenance Process Support

Support planning and scheduling activities for preventive and corrective maintenance operations.

Monitor and optimize utilization of manpower, tools, materials, and workshop resources.

Coordinate with Rolling Stock Unit teams and cross-functional departments to support operational objectives.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM activities.

Support process monitoring and ensure adherence to approved maintenance workflows and procedures.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Participate in audits, inspections, technical reviews, and quality verification activities.

Ensure maintenance processes and activities comply with approved quality standards, procedures, and operational requirements.

Support compliance with safety, health, environmental, and railway operational regulations.

Identify, report, and follow up on process deviations, non-conformities, and quality issues.

Support implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Ensure proper traceability and documentation of maintenance and quality-related records.

Reliability & Performance Analysis

Utilize CMMS systems such as Maximo to prepare reports, analyze maintenance data, and monitor operational performance.

Support reliability analysis, trend monitoring, and root cause investigations for recurring failures and operational issues.

Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and maintenance data to support informed decision-making.

Develop reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to support operational monitoring and continuous improvement.

Documentation & Standardization

Prepare, review, and update technical documentation, procedures, SOPs, reports, and operational dashboards.

Ensure compliance with document control procedures and maintenance documentation standards.

Support implementation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across maintenance activities.

Ensure maintenance records, reports, and technical data are accurately maintained and archived.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required.

Fluency in English and Arabic is required; French is a plus.

Knowledge

Good understanding of maintenance and reliability engineering principles.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, engineering drawings, and tolerances.

Understanding of process mapping, simulation, and operational optimization techniques.

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and TPM.

Basic understanding of quality management principles and quality tools including FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.

Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and work instructions.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret operational data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Minitab, and Power BI.

Familiarity with CMMS systems such as Maximo is preferred.

Knowledge of change management principles and operational improvement methodologies.

Familiarity with process mapping and diagramming tools is considered an advantage.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering, process engineering, continuous improvement, or quality-related roles.

Previous experience in Rolling Stock or Depot Equipment maintenance environments is mandatory.

Proven experience applying Lean principles and process improvement methodologies within operational environments.

Experience using CMMS systems, preferably Maximo, is preferred.
