Mission
JOB PURPOSE
Ensure that there are no prohibited items with the customers or the employees by checking the bags on the entrances of LRT stations by X-ray machines. Apply a positive Safety culture within stations. Be mindful that Safety, Security and environment is everyone's responsibility, and as such ALL-staff members are accountable for reporting and intervening in Safety, Security and Environmental violations.
Profile
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Security Screening & Monitoring
•Operate the X-ray machines at the entrances of LRT stations.
•Monitor and ensure the smooth passage of passengers through the screening equipment at station entrances.
•Alert the police, Station Master, and Control & Security Supervisor in the event of violations or suspicious items being detected.
•Record all violation incidents in the X-ray logbook for tracking and reporting purposes.
Passenger Assistance & Customer Service
•Assist and guide passengers using the escalators, ensuring their safety and comfort.
•Interact with passengers in a polite, helpful, and professional manner.
Compliance & Operational Support
•Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during normal and emergency situations.
•Perform any additional duties related to the role as assigned by Control & Protection Supervisors.
Safety Responsibilities
•Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and attend any safety-related meetings or briefings as
•required within the job role.
•Comply with the requirements of RDMC RQHSE Policy and Safety Management System.
•Be mindful that Safety, Security, and Environmental protection are everyone’s responsibility.
•All staff members are accountable for reporting and intervening in any Safety, Security, or Environmental violations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
KNOWLEDGE:
•Basic understanding of public Security.
EXPERIENCE:
•0-3 Experience in Public Safety & Security is preferred.
